With seven kids, I’m all about living better for less money (Heidi and Jonathan are in on it too.) We’re all showing money who’s boss–kickin’ butt and takin’ names!! (financially speaking). A lot of times, it’s not the huge expenses that kill us, but the little ones that add up over the days, weeks, months, and years. Salad dressing is a perfect example. Most people never think twice before grabbing a bottle of over-priced gunk full of chemicals and preservatives. Here’s a super simple and ridiculously cheap way to make your own salad dressing (to the tune of TEN CENTS a bottle). Check out the video to see how to label your jar in the right measurements and then you can mix up some salad dressing anytime the hankering hits!
Hannah’s Crazy Cheap Salad Dressing
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup water
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
1 Tbsp spaghetti seasoning
2 tsp parsley
1 tsp garlic powder (or garlic and herb blend)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
Directions: In a jar, combine all ingredients and shake it up (with the lid on, of course). While you have all the spices out, make sure you get some snack-size zippered plastic bags and prepare some spice packets for future dressings. So easy! Try it out today!
